Brand identity, web design, and video documentation for a BFA Global study on the emergence of young digitally-connected gig workers in Africa.
The term iWorker was first coined in the 2019 report Digital Commerce and Youth Employment to refer to a new category of workers whose livelihoods are enabled by digital commerce platforms — gig workers, eLancers, e-commerce merchants or sellers — i.e, self-employed and conducting commerce via a smartphone. The study estimates that by 2030, there may be as many as 88 million young iWorkers in Africa alone.
